Central Florida Heart Center welcomes Dr. Kun Xiang (pronounced Dr. “Shawn”) to our cardiology practice. Dr. Xiang is board certified in Internal Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology and Peripheral Vascular Interpretation. Dr. Xiang joins Central Florida Heart Center after completing a Cardiovascular Fellowship
at the University of Toledo Medical Center in Ohio. He is a member of American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, American College of Physician and American Medical Association.

Dr. Xiang is currently seeing new patients with all types of cardiovascular and internal medicine disease. Dr. Xiang also sees hospital consults at Munroe Regional Medical Center, Ocala Regional Medical Center and West Marion Hospital. Dr. Xiang performs a variety of invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular procedures, including diagnostic heart catheterization, device implantatin, transesophageal and
transthoracic echocardiography, peripheral vascular imaging and nuclear stress testing.

Dr. Xiang studied medicine at Southern Medical University in China. He continued his internal medicine residency and cardiovascular fellowship at University of Toledo Medical Center in Ohio. In addition to patient care, Dr. Xiang was heavily involved in medical research and education. He completed a Ph.D. degree at University of Toledo College of Medicine and authored & coauthored over twenty peerreviewed
articles and presentations at multiple international conferences. Dr. Xiang looks forward to carry his clinical and academic excellence into the future patient care.
Dr. Xiang’s wife Janice is very happy to have relocated to Ocala due to her life-long passion in horses.

Dr. Xiang and Janice are the proud parents of two young boys. Their extended family also includes a horse, a dog and a cat.
